I saw one on a web site at www.autotrackit.com It looks really cool and practical. It says it can unlock your doors, disable your starter, alert you to alarm activation and boundary fencing. You can do all these things with your cell phone and/or on you computer.
I was wondering if it is worth getting? I have locked my keys in the car on occasion and I have teens and others that use my vehicles with and at times without permission. From what I’ve seen, it looks very promising.

I know someone (honestly, NOT me!) who has a spouse that cheated. This person bought a GPS device meant to keep track of pets, disguised it as a child’s toy, and stuck it under the seat of the spouse’s car. There’s a website that shows where the device is at any given time, and this person uses it to keep track of the spouse.
Would you ever do something like this? How would you react if you found out your spouse had tracked you in this way?

I have been with a small company for about a year now and they have just recently talked about tracking all the company vans. We are a small company, like four vans small. I feel it is mis trust and micro management to do this. It is offensive to me and thats not easy to do. I have been with multiple fortune 500 companies and this little less than a million a year company is the 1st ive had this occur. Is it the way of the future and im be overly sensitive or is my company taking tracking times to a whole new crazy level. Thanks for your opinions.
* By the way, they say they want to do it for the sole purpose of replacing time cards ie they will print a report of where the vehicles are at the end of a week and pay us accordingly*

Just like the headline asks. I was wondering if police or another law enforcement agency place a GPS on say your vehicle.
As in this cnn article:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/08/18/gps.tracking/index.html
If you found it, would it be legal to disable it and keep/throw it away?
I guess this question goes for any monitoring device placed on your property.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration issued a statement Thursday saying the tracking plan jointly developed by FMCSA and Mexico’s Secretaria de Communicaciones y Transportes applies to both U.S. and Mexican trucks in the program.
"This will give us the ability to monitor every vehicle from Mexico and ensure all companies are following our strict safety requirements, including those governing hours of service and sabotage," said John Hill, FMCSA administrator.
