IF IT IS YOUR CAR AND THEY PUT IT THERE ILLEGALLY IT WOULD MOST LIKELY BE PLACED SOMEWHERE UNDER THE CAR. IF IT’S LO JACK IT’S PLACED IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CAR. COMPANY TRACKING SYSTEMS ARE USUALLY IN THE DASH BEHIND THE RADIO OR GLOVE BOX. AND HIGH END CARS LIKE BMW AND MERCEDES ARE USUALLY BUILT RIGHT INTO THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM.

If the installer is good, you will not find it easily. Have a visual inspection, then find someone with a broad frequency spectrum analyser (GPS Specific/Decrypter), plug in your antenna and off you go.

Are you sure that the GPS is on your car? My friend has GPS on her son’s phone and she knows where he’s at and when he get’s there…and how long he’s there and when he leaves and tracks him while he’s on the road. Something to think about.
